INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR MANAGEMENT OF TOURISM SITES AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS WITHIN LETLHAKENG NATURE RESERVE

This EOI will be strictly reserved for 100% citizen owned companies

Background:

Motlhware Community Development Trust (MCDT) invites reputable 100% Botswana citizen owned companies to express their interest in operating various sites within Letlhakeng Nature Park, located in the serene village of Letlhakeng.

a. INVITATION TO EXPRESS INTEREST TO MANAGE AND OPERATE RESTAURANT AND BAR LOCATED AT THE GATE HOUSE WITHIN THE PARK

Nestled within a stunning nature reserve, the newly developed facility offers the perfect setting for your business to thrive

b. INVITATION TO EXPRESS INTEREST TO MANAGE AND OPERATE PICNIC SITE AND CAMP SITE WITHIN THE PARK

The site offers a perfect escape for families and friends looking to unwind and connect with great outdoors.

The Picnic site has the following developments:

  • Ablution facilities to ensure comfort & hygiene for all visitors
  • Water systems to provide easy access of fresh water for visitors
  • Braai catering areas

The Camp site has the following developments:

  • Ablution facilities to ensure comfort & hygiene for all visitors
  • Water systems to provide easy access of fresh water for visitors
  • Braai catering areas
  • Space for multiple tents


c. INVITATION FOR MOBILE OPERATORS / EXPERIENCED TOUR GUIDES TO EXPRESS INTEREST TO CONDUCT GUIDED TOURS AT LETLHAKENG NATURE PARK

  • The site offers a 900ha area with access roads to game viewing and various historic territories of tribes around the nature reserve.
  • Tours to be conducted daily from 0600hrs to 1800hrs.
  • Interested candidates to use their tour operator vehicles at their own costs to conduct daily guided tours.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Interested companies are required to submit the following:
    • Cover letter indicating line of trade / company profile
    • Shareholders / Directors Proof of IdentitY
    • Certificate of incorporation or any registration documents
    • Valid tax and VAT clearance certificates
    • CIPA extract with shareholders details
  • Site of Interest: Clearly indicate the specific site(s) the company is interested in, with separate EOIs for each site.
  • Site Visit: All interested parties must participate in a mandatory self-funded site visit at a date to be determined by MCDT to the shortlisted candidates.

MCDT SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO:

  • Request clarification during the evaluation process
  • Reject companies that fail to submit mandatory documents and do not meet the MCDT qualification

Closing Date

  • The deadline for submission of EOI is 15th September 2024 at 1500hrs.
  • EOI submissions received after 1500hrs on the closing date shall not be accepted.
